The deck is large enough for outdoor dining and entertaining, and from here steps lead down to a lower level that feels particularly private and secluded, with a lawn surrounded by hedging and mature shrubs. The garden also has apple, cherry and bay trees (the cherry tree is self-pollinating), along with raspberries and blueberries. There are outdoor power sockets, and at the front of the house there is an outside tap.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, with the principal and second double at the front, both with long views. The bathroom is beautifully appointed, with a modern white suite, fresh white large-format wall tiles and matte black fittings, including a thermostatic shower over the bath with both rainfall and handheld shower heads. Built-in wardrobes feature in two of the bedrooms, and the bathroom includes a built-in cupboard for linen and toiletries. There is further storage on the ground floor in the cupboard under the stairs.

Peacehaven is a residential area nestled between the South Downs and the sea. This is a great area for families, with Telscombe Cliff and Peacehaven schools within walking distance and the seaside close by. On the corner of the South Coast Road and Rowe Avenue, there is a children’s play area with sea views from the picnic area. Peacehaven also has its own leisure centre, and just along the coast is the iconic Saltdean Lido withs its fantastic outdoor pool. Bus routes connect you to Brighton and Newhaven along the coast road.
