Description
The history
The Robinson Building in Bedminster, Bristol, was once a large paper bag and printing factory established by E. A. & A. Robinson in the late 19th century. The building’s redevelopment created 100 apartments on five of the existing floors, as well as in a two-storey addition to the roof. A standout feature is the circular atrium and glazed roof, which bring light through the middle of the building.
The home
As you enter the maisonette apartment, a wide hallway gives easy access to both levels. Downstairs, there is an open-plan kitchen/living room that opens to double-height windows at the far end. The modern kitchen includes a kitchen island and offers plenty of space for keen cooks. Further along is a flexible living area and a window seat, a good spot for reading or a Sunday morning coffee. Along the hallway, there is a modern bathroom with a tiled feature wall, plus additional storage.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. The main bedroom overlooks the living space and the double-height windows and includes a recently renovated en suite. Next door is a flexible second room, currently used as a home office.
The apartment also comes with access to communal bike storage.
