Old Barn Cottage was built in 1986, using materials from an old building from another part of the country. There are beams in every room, giving it character and charm, and it's built in what used to be an orchard.

There are many amenities close by, a coop with post office at the end of the road, and further local shops. Ockwells Park, filled with wildlife, dog walkers, and children.
The green next to the house is in constant use. It hosts the local may fair, bringing all communities together.
The barley mow pub, run by Martin, is part of this community, with regular quiz nights meat raffles. I've never had an issue with it, and martin has been wonderful and supportive since my husband passed.

We purchased this house in 2006 from friends and we fell in love with its character and warmth straight away. The Inglenook fireplace and log burner are a welcome sight on a cold winters night. There are beams in every room giving it charm and character, I have many happy memories from the past almost twenty years. Family gatherings, our God daughters first visit at two weeks old to our Halloween party, everyone in fancy dress. Open house at Christmas the house full of laughter from family and friends. To quiet nights in by the fire which were peaceful and cosy.

The alarm system and log burner are serviced yearly, and the chimney sweeped yearly,

Old Barn Cottage is a wonderful property. It's been a privilege to live here but now it's time for others to make memories and call it home.
