Location - Baldock
Baldock is a historic market town in North Hertfordshire, 9 miles from the town of Royston, 3 miles from Letchworth, and 14 miles from Hertford, with excellent commuter links to London via Baldock’s own train station or via the A1M and M25.

Though a small town, Baldock has an array of architecture, including buildings from the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian eras. The Baldock Parish Church of St. Mary the Virgin enjoys a rich history and sits at the centre of the town, built around 1150 by the Knights Templar. It runs regular services and events and has two church schools–St Mary’s Infant and St Mary’s Junior Schools.

There is a long tradition of brewing which still continues today, and local cider and ales are sold at The Orange Tree–a 330-year-old pub which serves fantastic food and is always running exciting activities. Baldock also runs some exciting events, including the Baldock Festival, which consists of three weeks of museum displays, wine and whiskey tastings, beer festivals, brewery tours, cricket matches, comedy and quiz nights, and much more!

Baldock has an excellent variety of services, retail outlets and places to eat, drink, socialise and experience art, history and culture. There is a great selection of independent retailers, chain stores and supermarkets, as well as sporting facilities, including a football pitch, a BMX bike run, a basketball court and many play areas. The Knights Templar Sports Centre is a modern facility with a fitness room, dance studio, a range of fitness classes, a spacious sports hall, basketball, badminton, netball, indoor cricket and gymnastics.

If you’re looking to purchase in the area, we highly recommend the vibrant town of Baldock!
