Glena Avenue, Knowle

" We have lovely neighbours on Glena Avenue - the kind of people who will take in packages for you and put your bins out for you if you’re away! We have made so many happy memories here…throwing open the back doors and having BBQs in the summer, cosy board game nights in the winter with the log burner on, putting up the Christmas tree in the bay window and decorating for the advent windows our street does each year. We walk our dog at Redcatch Park every day (whatever the weather!) and love the pop-up street food events in the community gardens they run every summer. Now we have a toddler the playground there has been a firm favourite too! We love being able to walk her to nursery in 5 minutes and having Tots and Teapots play cafe down the road is a winner too. "

The home

A gorgeous three bedroom terrace house in Knowle. Downstairs is an open plan living room/dining room with bay window out to the street and log burner. The kitchen has been extended and opened up to the rear and is a light and bright space with plenty of units, a breakfast bar and space for further casual dining or an additional living area. At the end of this space are glass doors up onto the raised deck overlooking the garden. Upstairs are three double bedrooms and a modern bathroom.

The outside

The beautifully landscaped garden has a raised terrace and then steps going down to a patio area and then there is a further seating area, astro turf lawn and raised beds with plenty of shrubs and trees.

Living in Knowle

One of the real benefits of this house is the amount and variety of parks and green spaces within a short distance. Redcatch Park and Community Garden, Perretts Park and Arnos Vale Cemetery, with its popular Atrium Café, all within 10 minutes walk from the house. The expansive Victoria Park and Callington Road Nature Reserve are also nearby, providing brilliant open spaces for the summer or for walking the dog all year round.

The area is easily commutable from Bristol City Centre, approximately 30 minutes walk, a short cycle or bus journey down Wells Road. The area also has lots of amenities on the doorstep with Wells Road recently becoming home to more and more popular bars, cafes and restaurants. The Knowle Pub is within easy reach and provides the ideal locals pub for food and drink and is a great spot for a Sunday lunch or a beer in the garden.
