Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Quiet area despite being incredibly central within Lewisham, which is a huge plus. The locale in regards to tesco, the station, and the shopping centre all make a huge difference when looking at amenities.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Some of them, yes. We are still waiting on some longer term issues — fixing the window for example. I would be unhappy if it got to winter and this wasn’t resolved since it will effect our insulation.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Bale House seems to be the one to go for. Anchor residents seem to have it much harder with various levels of disruption. It’s by chance that we seemed to end up in the right building

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The surrounding facilities are excellent. There’s a Tesco right downstairs, a railway station and the DLR within a 5-minute walk, and a shopping mall nearby. Daily life here is extremely convenient.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quick replies, very welcoming, and always ready to solve any problem.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The room can get quite hot in summer, so I’d recommend bringing a fan.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It's very convenient. Just 1 min from Tesco and 2 min from train and dlr. Love the interior design and atmosphere.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Haven't met any problems yet, everything is going on well so far.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Love the view from the window. like the library and terrace in the building

    Aug 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

A large Tesco (Full size not express) is right beside the building. A brand new large asian store called Kiki and MiuMiu just opened and the train station is right beside the building as well DLR and Southeastern Railway (20 mins to central) Lewisham shopping centre car park 7 mins walk away, £90 per month.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The landlord and managing staff respond quickly and promptly to issues. A true pain is the third party utility company Homebox…

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The pain with trying to get a decent monthly utilities price.. Other than that living here is enjoyable and peaceful.

    Manager's response

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Area is convenient and public transport is well connected. The only problem is that Pest controls can be improved.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

As I said we raised a maintenance request regarding door battery but management team didn’t send people on the time we have talked about.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Overall is good. The facilities, service and cleaning in the building are all very good. I hope the door lock can be repaired soon.

    Manager's response

Hello Hailey, Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting the positive experience you’ve had with our front of house team and Junior from maintenance , we’ll be sure to pass along your kind words. We’re very sorry to hear about the issues you've experienced with the door battery repair and the missed appointments. That’s not the level of service we aim to provide, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We’re currently reviewing internal communication processes to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Regarding the pests outside your window , thank you for flagging this. Our windows are due their next clean soon and i will ask the contractors if anything can be done here to mitigate this issue. Your feedback is incredibly valuable in helping us improve the resident experience. Please don’t hesitate to contact the management team directly if there's anything else we can assist you with, especially regarding your door lock, which we’ll prioritise. Best regards, Bale & Anchor Team
