I'm David, and I'm the person you'll reach by email, phone or WhatsApp whenever you need something 24/7/365. Joanne is the person you'll sometimes find busily but unobtrusively cleaning, replenishing the free tea and coffee and generally setting everything straight and making sure everything works.
Kendrew House is truly in Darlington's Town Centre but not hidden away and hard to find in the pedestrian precinct, and is the large corner Victorian building set at an angle to the road that's easy for your visitors to see and with an equally visible huge car park immediately adjacent.
Parking is right next to the building in the large low-cost long-stay carpark, or free in the surrounding roads. The town centre with all the shops and professional services you need is just a minute's stroll in one direction, and North Lodge Park for relaxing lunchtimes in the sun is less than a minute's stroll in the other direction.
Whether you're an established business seeking space for up to 15 employees, or just starting out and making the leap to your first true business address, we have a space to suit your budget whether you need your own lockable separate office/workspace in 'Offices on Kendrew' or just want your own desk in our adjacent multi-occupancy 'Kendrew House Annex'.
Whilst many places make you jump through hoops to find the true price, and even then hit you with unexpected extras which are not really 'extras' at all, we like a simple life and to give you honest and clear prices upfront.
With us, you pay the single 'licence fee' by the 1st of each month, and everything's included - electricity, heating, there's no VAT and no admin or other fees. Occupancy is on a straightforward Licence to Occupy with no personal guarantees needed, and no credit checks. Our building insurance requires that we hold a £100 security deposit during your occupancy, and most of our occupants pay no Business Rates. When you wish to vacate, give us just 30 days' notice. Or, in the case that you've chosen our multiple-occupancy Annex just don't pay the next month's licence fee and your 'licence to occupy' will automatically end (and your security deposit is paid back into your bank account). Simple and easy as that!
We don't lock you in, either. Stay as short a time as one month, or as long as you like - but enjoy a slightly better price if you stay for more than six months and knowing you can still leave early if you really need and that the price will purely adjust back to the shorter term rate.
You're welcome 24/7, 365 days a year. Whether you choose a separate lockable office in 'Offices on Kendrew', or the adjacent multi-occupancy 'Kendrew House Annex', you'll receive the PIN code so you can use your space absolutely any time you like - day or night. To explain, the first person arriving in the morning pushes open the outer door which is held open on its magnet, and which closes automatically at night - and provides a small annex for visitors. The annex has an inner glass door which stays closed for security, and which you open with the same PIN code.
We don't have permanent staff to get in your way, so the whole bulding has a relaxed but with a professional feeling. Security cameras keep everyone safe (you'll have access to them via your smartphone), the common area lights stay on 24/7, and the doorbells in the entrance lobby ring in your office and come to your smartphone wherever you are in the world.
