For a wider range of shops and services it is only a short drive into Blandford with its historic Georgian market square, M&S Food Hall, Tesco and Lidl superstore. There are lots of good opportunities for sport and recreation in the area, with lovely walking, riding and cycling in the countryside around the village. There are plenty of local sports clubs with Poole Harbour and Studland Bay for water sports and sailing. Dorset's renowned Jurassic Coastline is within 45 minutes drive to the south.
