WHAT THE OWNER SAYS
"We’ve loved living here, in particular we love the period features, and we’ve tried to bring these back in a modern way which we find makes the house really homely and cosy. The house is south facing and gets a lovely amount of sunlight. The garden is one of our favourite areas, as it’s a bit of a sun trap and really nice to host people for pizza parties!
A key feature for us is the space, we both work from home and having separate offices whilst still being able to host multiple guests has been amazing for us.
Walkley has been a great area to live in, really great to enjoy the city with proximity to kelham, but also with a small community vibe with loads of great pubs, our favourites being the Blind Monkey and Walkley Beer co. South road also has a couple of the best places to eat in Sheffield in Aesthete and Freak Street Cafe."
Beautifully presented and deceptively spacious, this three double bedroom home with a private rear garden is set in the ever-popular suburb of Walkley. Perfect for first-time buyers, you’ll find fantastic local cafés, restaurants and pubs just up the road, while the city centre, Sheffield University and the main hospitals are all within walking distance.
Entering through the back door, you step into the off-shot kitchen, home to the sink/drainer, space for a tall fridge/freezer and washing machine. The kitchen has a contemporary, industrial feel with open shelving above the worktops and flows into the dining room, a generous space with room for a large table and access to the cellar head. At the front of the house sits the cosy living room, complete with a period fireplace, tiled hearth, and both a window and external door.
On the first floor are two bedrooms and the bathroom. The front bedroom is a large double with a useful storage cupboard beneath the attic stairs. To the rear is a smaller double, alongside the bathroom, fitted with a white three-piece suite including bath with electric shower above, WC and washbasin.
The second floor is home to a superb attic bedroom, a very spacious double with built-in wardrobes and Velux windows to both front and rear.
Outside, a small forecourt and steps lead to the front door. The private rear garden can be reached from the kitchen or via the alleyway (with right of way across a neighbour’s garden). Once inside, it’s completely private with no shared access – just a peaceful, raised seating area with flowerbeds, perfect for relaxing or entertaining.
