4Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
As the majority of houses have a private parking spot, parking is a breeze! Within 5 to 10 min walking distance, you can reach the village centre of Esh Winning, with has a small convenient store, a brilliant butcher, a bakery, a few fast food options (pizza, fish and chips, chinese). Public transport to Durham is also great, with a bus stop 5 min from the development and buses running every 20 min until late at night.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes, the landlord/building management has responded to any bigger issues very quickly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
To control the heating properly, we had to buy an additional piece of kit which would have been nice to be supplied to every house from the get go.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
We lived in another part of the village before moving here so we knew what to expect. This is a sizeable but quiet village surrounded by the most beautiful and accessible walks and countryside right on your doorstep. The local village center has everything you would need in the way of a co-op, take aways, barber and hairdresser and a nice village pub. We don't use public transport very often but I understand a direct link takes you right into Durham.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We had some teething problems with the patio doors which were rectified quickly with no hassle
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
We're not doggy people, and there seem to be an awful lot of our neighbours have dogs even though there are still many empty properties. I would just respectfully request that dog owners keep in mind that not everyone likes dogs and please be respectful of that. No problems though, everyone clears up after there dog (so far!)
