Hedgefield is a large and impressive stone built family home located in the village of Sleights. It was formerly used as a guesthouse which means that the original layout had 5 en-suite bedrooms. On the second floor there is a large landing area currently used as a library area. There are two double bedrooms both with en-suites , one with a shower and one with a bath. From the rear of the property there are beautiful far reaching views across the countryside.
The house also has a lower ground floor level with various storage areas and a doorway out into the back garden.
Outside the property has a cottage style front garden with roses, mixed shrubs and planting. The rear garden has several areas including the balcony, a gravelled patio , lawned area and also a summerhouse. There is also a potting shed.
To the side of the property there is a gate which leads to a grassed side area which is a grassed access between the houses leading down to Lowdale Lane. This can be used to bring things in and out of the garden.
Sleights has a wealth of amenities including the award winning Radfords Butchers, a small supermarket , post office, hair salon, bakery , fish and chip shop/restaurant, pubs and a primary school. There is also a train station and the house is close to a bus route and the A169 to York.
