Close by is the Abberton Reservoir and Nature Reserve, a wetland site of international importance for wildfowl, which provides excellent bird watching opportunities and fabulous views over the 1,200 acre reservoir.

The historic town of Colchester is located within xx miles and provides a more comprehensive shopping centre and a range of schooling.
