We moved into Lawrence Place in 2018 and it quickly became the heart of so many special memories in our first home together. From the moment we stepped inside, we were drawn to the light and airy open-plan downstairs — perfect for entertaining friends, family gatherings, and relaxed evenings in. The generously sized bedrooms were another huge bonus, offering far more space than you’d usually expect from a new build.

Working in Reading town centre, we’ve loved the convenience of excellent transport links while still enjoying the peace of a more rural setting. The surrounding green spaces have been ideal for runs, walks, and unwinding outdoors. Although neither of us grew up here, we’ve truly fallen in love with the area — so much so that we’ve chosen to stay nearby, thanks to the welcoming community and lifestyle it offers.

This house has given us seven wonderful years, filled with laughter, milestones, and unforgettable moments. We’re confident that anyone who makes it their home will feel just as happy here as we have.

Simply put, this is an awesome house right in the heart of Shinfield Meadows. The Beech Design has some beautiful features including a lovely big entrance hall with dual aspect windows, a sky light at the top of the stairs and a great amount of storage throughout. The kitchen and living spaces are semi-open plan in a "L" shape with the kitchen to the front and the living/dining spaces to the rear, including a nice feature fireplace to separate the spaces. French doors lead out to the garden which the current owners have cleverly landscaped with two patio areas to make the most of the sun throughout the day. Upstairs the main bedroom suite has a gorgeous double walk in shower in the en-suite, there's another double bedroom and the third room is a single - all of them have plenty of space for storage & wardrobes!

The owners have also part converted the garage to leave storage room at the front, whilst making use of the back as a home office... something that's so important in this day & age!


Area comments...

Shinfield Meadows is a lovely location, very central to all your needs and wants. Literally, just a few minutes walk you will find the popular Langley Mead nature reserve, which is great for walks and you also have various play parks close by for children. Within a short walk or drive you have plenty of amenities including Dobbies Garden Centre which has a Waitrose local store, along with a great butchers and within Shinfield Village you have the new Lidl store, Co-Op a few popular pubs, a post office and the Crumbs cafè. There are main bus routes close by taking you into Reading or Wokingham towns and you are just a few minutes from Mereoak Park and Ride or junction 11 of the M4, making it a really well connected location. Not forgetting you now have train links with the Green Park station connecting you to Reading and Basingstoke, giving you great access into London too.
