Rode is a historic weaving village with many landmarks. The village is conveniently located less than six miles from Frome. Rode benefits from its very own chocolate factory, a local friendly public house, riverside restaurant, first school, a shop with a post office and café as well as a village hall with a large play area. The village is well connected with frequent buses to Bath city centre and Frome and there are many wonderful walks including a looped path connecting five of the local villages, Rode, Beckington, Laverton, Lullington and Woolverton, just under 6 miles long through the glorious surrounding countryside. The community of Rode is welcoming and the village plan events for all to enjoy, including a comedy festival held every summer with entertainment and activities for all to enjoy.   

Frome is a historic market town, just under 13 miles from Bath and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Frome has many amenities, including good schools, two theatres, a cinema and a station with rail links to Bath, Bristol and London Paddington.
