Wildham House lies equi-distant between Stoughton and East Marden, both just under 1 ½ miles away and both pretty, downland villages. To the south east is Chichester, to the south west is Emsworth and to the north is Petersfield. The latter provides excellent road and rail links to London via the A3 and also locally to the coast.

Stoughton has a parish church, that dates back to the Anglo Saxons, and pub and Compton has a village shop/café. There is a butcher nearby at Adsdean and farm shops at Goodwood and Southbourne. More comprehensive facilities are available in Petersfield, Midhurst and Chichester.

The surrounding South Downs countryside provides many opportunities for walking, riding and mountain biking. The Solent and Chichester Harbour are very popular with sailors and provides some of the best sailing facilities throughout the UK. The Witterings attract bathers, windsurfers and kite surfers.

Goodwood is internationally renowned for its famous racecourse and plays host to the annual Festival of Speed and The Revival at its historic motor circuit. There are a number of golf courses nearby, the closest being located at Rowlands Castle. There is a superb theatre at Chichester as well as a renowned art gallery.

The area has some excellent schools including The Petersfield School, Ditcham Park, Churcher’s College, Bedales, Westbourne House, and Seaford College.
