Colemans Hill Farm is an exceptional, award-winning eco-home, architect-designed, with a mixture of timber frames and traditional red brick built in 2014. It provides contemporary accommodation with rural views, carefully designed to make the most of its surroundings. With extensive glazing, vaulted ceilings, and exposed roof trusses, the spacious accommodation is arranged over two floors. The ground floor comprises a welcoming entrance hall with large windows that flood the space with natural light. The sitting room features an oak floor, brick fireplace, housing a wood-burning stove, together with floor-to-ceiling windows framing views over the gardens and far-reaching countryside. The well-appointed kitchen includes a central island, a range of base and wall units, and an Everhot range style cooker, with an adjoining utility room providing additional storage. To the rear of the property, a triple-aspect garden room with vaulted ceiling and French doors opens onto a paved terrace. A study and a shower room complete the ground floor accommodation. On the first floor a galleried landing with Velux windows is flooded with light and leads to three double bedrooms and a family bathroom, the principal bedroom being a particularly impressive space with double aspect windows, a vaulted ceiling and en-suite shower room.
There is further accommodation in an annexe above the garage with an open plan living space, kitchenette, bedroom area and shower room, that can be accessed from the property.
OUTSIDE
The property is approached via a long, tree-lined driveway. Colemans Hill Farm sits centrally within its plot, surrounded by sweeping lawns, mature planting, hedging, wildflower meadows, and thoughtfully designed beds of shrubs and perennials, together with an attractive pond. There is an orchard with a variety of mature fruit trees and a paved terrace adjoining the house provides the perfect spot for alfresco dining, offering far-reaching views across the countryside. Outbuildings include a 3 bay garage, as well as a detached barn providing additional under-cover parking and a storeroom/studio to the rear. In all, the access road and garden extend to 1.22 acres.
