Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living at Apo at The Holloway is a fantastic experience. The location on Blucher Street couldn’t be more convenient , within walking distance of New Street Station, the Bullring, the Mailbox and many restaurants. Transport links are excellent, with bus stops right outside the building. There are open spaces nearby, with parks on Bath Row, and the canal in Mailbox offering a scenic route for walking or running. The apartments themselves are beautifully designed, with modern finishes, great natural light and excellent insulation that keeps them quiet and cosy. During building works near my unit, I was unable to hear the noise from construction. Amenities including co-working spaces, resident lounges and a helpful on-site team have been very helpful. Bin collections are reliable, and the overall building is very well maintained.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management at Apo at The Holloway has always been extremely responsive. Whenever I’ve raised a problem or issue, they act promptly and professionally to resolve it. Maintenance requests are attended to quickly, and the team communicates clearly throughout the process. They are approachable, friendly, and genuinely committed to ensuring residents feel supported. Even minor issues are handled efficiently, which gives me confidence that any concerns will be taken seriously.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Honestly, there’s nothing I wish I had known before moving in. The whole experience has been seamless, from the move-in process to settling into the apartment.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Veryyy close proximity to shops, city center and train station. It’s the best and perfect location for those looking for a modern style accommodation.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I’ve not had any issues so far but management carries out regular fire and smoke checks etc. The team is very responsive overall. They rather reached out and asked if I’ve had any issues so far

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

APO has great customer service and so far, clean surroundings, communal spaces etc. Overall it’s worth the price.

    Manager's response

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this lovely review, we are so pleased to hear that you are enjoying living with us.

    Sept 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living at Apo The Holloway has been a very positive experience. The apartments are modern, clean, and very comfortable, with great soundproofing and ventilation which makes the space enjoyable. The staff — Adam, Hollie, Kim, and the whole team — are always friendly, helpful, and quick to respond, which has made settling in so much easier, especially for my family. The location is excellent, being close to New Street Station, the Bullring and the Mailbox,, making it very convenient for shopping, groceries, and restaurants

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven’t had many problems since moving in, but on the one occasion I did raise an issue, the building management team responded very quickly and had it resolved within 24 hours.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is that parking spaces are quite limited. However, I understand that more spaces will be offered soon, which should make this much easier

    Manager's response

Hi Sarra, Thank you so much for leaving us such a lovely review, we are so pleased to hear that you are enjoying living with us and that the team have been supportive! As always if there is anything we can help with please do ask a member of the team and we would be happy to help.

    Sept 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

My apartment was clean, modern, and well-furnished with sturdy furniture. (The mattresses were on the firm side, which worked for me.) The soundproofing is excellent - despite being next to a busy roundabout, it was quiet with the windows closed. Air ventilation was also very good, which made the space comfortable. The location is outstanding being just a short walk from New Street Station, the Bullring, the Mailbox, and the Chinese Quarter. It's easy to get groceries or find a restaurant nearby. Parking is quite limited, especially for loading and unloading if you do not have a spot in the building, and the bin collections area sometimes gets backed up (although I believe this is an issue with the external contractor rather than the property management).

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Apo's staff were great - very responsive and helpful. If you have any problems, they respond quickly and fix the issue quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I did not expect the electricity costs to be as high as they were during the winter months. For a two-bedroom apartment, I spent on average £300–350 per month to keep the apartment at around 21°C. However, this apartment was completely electric, with no natural gas or alternative energy sources, which explains the higher running costs in colder months.

    Manager's response

Hi Alex, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this review, it's much appreciated. So pleased to hear your lovely feedback on the team and your apartment. It's no secret that we have had some issues with the waste disposal with our external contractor but we thank our residents for being so understanding. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your time living with us!

    Sept 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Excellent location for access to the city centre and very close to New Street station. Good convenience shops and pubs/bars nearby. Main downside is the extremely busy Holloway Head road right next to the site, regularly congested and regular antisocial driving late at night. Illegal parking and pavement parking is also common around the site.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Maintenance has generally been speedy, although some things have taken a bit longer to get sorted. No major issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Convenient and well run place to live. Great location and building management are good. Not the cheapest or the most homely, but very convenient.

    Manager's response

Hi Matthew, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this review with such inciteful feedback. We hope you enjoyed your time living at The Holloway!
