15 minutes away is the vibrant riverside town of St Foy la Grande which reputedly has the best fresh produce market in the south-west.  As a result, Saturdays in town are always particularly buzzy.  Other towns worth exploring in the area include St Émilion, a UNESCO world Heritage site, Castillon-la-Bataille which also has a convenient railway station with links to both Bordeaux and Bergerac, Monsegur with its' summer jazz festival and Duras.  Bergerac airport is a 45 minute drive and Bordeaux airport 1hr 10mins.
