    I love it it’s close to train station. Sometimes sainsbury is crowded because of the offices on their lunch break.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    The building management has always responded quickly and professionally. Whenever I reported an issue, they followed up promptly and made sure things were resolved as soon as possible. Their communication is clear, and they genuinely try to help residents.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    I wish I had known that students are required to pay the full amount upfront since guarantors aren’t accepted. This would have helped me plan ahead financially. Also, some apartments can get warm in the summer, so having a fan or good ventilation is helpful.

    We absolutely loved living at Box Makers Yard. The location truly cannot be beat. It is a 2 minute walk to Temple Meads station, there is a Sainsbury’s right underneath Dovetail, and the city center is only a 15 minute walk away. Everything we needed was right on our doorstep. The building itself was perfect for us. It is quiet, safe, and extremely comfortable. I worked from home and always felt productive in our apartment, but I also really appreciated having the option to use the communal workspaces whenever I wanted a change of scenery. The amenities are fantastic. The gym is well appointed and the parcel room made life so convenient. The front of house team deserves special recognition. Everyone was lovely, but a particular shout out goes to Naa, who was always so wonderful and helpful. We moved to the UK and Box Makers Yard was our home for a year and a half. We truly loved our time at BMY and the only reason we left is because we moved out of the country. We highly recommend it to anyone considering making it their home.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    Overall, the building management team has been responsive and helpful whenever we have raised concerns. They are approachable, communicative, and genuinely try to resolve issues as quickly as they can. There was one instance where the fob access doors were not functioning properly for an extended period of time, which meant the building was not as secure as it should have been. While we understand this issue was outside of management’s control, it did take far too long to be fully resolved. To their credit, they responded by increasing security patrols and doing what they could to keep residents safe in the meantime. Although the repair timeline was longer than ideal, we always felt that the team was doing their best under the circumstances and keeping residents informed

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    We wish we had known how many great local amenities were right on our doorstep, including Sainsbury’s, restaurants, and cafes. It made settling in much easier than we expected

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    The apartments are central and very near the station, so everything you need is in walking distance . So far I have had not noise issues and the area seems safe. Parking is not readily available nearby for visitors but there is a pay car park 5 minutes away. The apartments have resident parking which is good. The cost of charging a vehicle is high on site , so if you have an electric vehicle you may have to look for options at nearby hotels. Bin collection was an issue last week as it was overflowing but this has now been sorted. There are numerous local coffee shops and a Sainsbury’s local next door.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    The front of house team respond to issues promptly and can be reached via WhatsApp or email. You can also walk down and speak in person

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    Nothing springs to mind, maybe the cost of vehicle charging could have been pointed out as we are residential I would have thought it would be cheaper. Maybe look at another provider

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    One of the main reasons I chose this area was for its location. It has a local shop in the same building which is amazingly convenient. Multiple cafes, restaurants and bars only minutes away and the train station which offers great transport connections. The main downside is it is not the most beautiful area due to building works and there are a lot of homeless people who can sometimes employ aggressive tactics.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    I have always received a prompt response, for example when my first rent payment didn't go out as expected they were very good about it and allowed me time to get set up.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    I wish there was more of a community feel, especially regarding the gym and WFH areas as I am a single woman WFH so I had hoped to get to know more people

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    When we moved in the nearest shop was Tescos on Victoria street. The addition of Mokoko and a Sainsbury’s in the building has been massive. Pasty shop down the road is great and so close to the train station.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    Always happy to try and sort out issues, but took over a month to fix the oven door. Intent is there but lack of spare parts kept on site seems to be an issue (piston for ottoman bed took a while etc). When lifts or hot water go out it can be a lengthy wait to be fixed. Otherwise very responsive and helpful!

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    Pasty emporium is great, air filters should be changed semi regularly. More storage than it seems!
