SITUATION
Old Chapel Cottage is situated in the pretty Broadland village of Hickling. There are wonderful walks in the area with Weavers Way, various beaches and quiet country cycling routes. The property is just half a mile from Hickling Broad, from which there is access to The Broads network with its abundant wildlife and sailing. There are 2 churches, and 2 public houses close by and about 4 miles to the east, access is found to some wonderful beaches. Just over 3 miles to the north is the village of Stalham which has excellent local amenities including a Post Office, surgery, local schooling, and boat yards.
About 19 miles to southwest is the Cathedral City of Norwich, which is renowned for its shopping and cultural facilities, selection of schools both state and private and is the regional business centre with a university and teaching hospital. There are rail connections with intercity trains to London Liverpool Street. Norwich has an international airport and there are good communications by road via the A11 and A47.
The North Norfolk coast is renowned for its sandy beaches, bird reserves and there is good sailing to be had on both the Norfolk broads and the coast.
