Description
A very big welcome to Welbeck House, a purpose built apartment building and where we have for sale this fabulous second floor, one bedroom flat, beautifully presented and if required, can be bought with the furnishings (by negotiation). It has been extremely well looked after by the owner who has modernised it in recent years to include a new, bright white all-electric kitchen .
Light and bright are the descriptors here with light laminate wood flooring in the sitting room, tiling in the kitchen and bathroom and cosy carpet in the bedroom. On the cosy subject, the flat has gas central heating and double glazing all helping to keep heating bills to a minimum and resulting in a respectable "C" EPC rating.
Lastly, it's also worth mentioning that this flat is an ideal Airbnb'er - please ask for income figures.
Outside - whilst the building isn't going to win any prizes for aesthetics, the plain brick facade and tiled roof will be keeping long term maintenance costs to an absolute minimum over the years - an important consideration! Also important is the allocated parking space AND protected secure bike storage.
Location - The building shares the plot with the Oxford Headquarters of the Royal British Legion so, plenty of old soldiers around and about to keep a tight watch on surroundings.
Close by there is a parade of shops in Cherwell Drive with a Co-Op, fish and chip shop, a Papa Johns Pizza, and the closest pub, The Up In Arms is a short stroll away and whilst this writer hasn't been there, it has a near 5 star Google rating and is one of the local Dodo chain of pubs which I CAN recommend!
Perhaps, more importantly, the John Radcliffe Hospital is a 6 minute cycle ride and 4 minute car drive.
You're also not far from the pick up point for the Oxford Tube - excellent for direct express access to London (Victoria).
Miscellaneous - there are 105 years remaining on the lease and there is a service charge of about £175 per month.
For more in depth information (planning permissions, public transport, schools etc) on the area please click on the "virtual tour" on the portals.
There you have it, number 10 Welbeck House and I'm looking forward to showing you around!
