Description

In the centre of the lively village of Blauzac, between Uzès and Nîmes, this old house stands out for its charm and character. It has vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a stone fireplace, and terracotta or stone floors.

The house has plenty of character and old-world charm but could use some updating. The roofs were redone in 2016 and 2025, but work is still needed (electrical, heating, and wall finishes). A rare find for anyone who loves historic homes and renovation projects in a peaceful village setting

The entrance opens into a bright living room with a high ceiling and direct access to a private patio — a cool, quiet spot to relax. The kitchen has an old-fashioned feel, with a stone sink and a large fireplace, connecting to a cozy TV room. From there, you can reach a storage area that also opens onto the street, great for bikes/tools etc.

Upstairs, there's a first attic bedroom, then a spacious main bedroom with a dressing area, bathroom, and access to a lovely roof terrace. A small mezzanine provides an extra sleeping space. There's also an attic next to the terrace for storing outdoor furniture.

Off the patio, a separate section includes a shower room, laundry, and an upstairs bedroom — perfect for guests or family wanting a bit of privacy.

Location:
Blauzac is a charming village in between Uzes and Nimes. Every Tuesday morning the village hosts a local produce market in Place de la Mairie. There's also an excellent bakery, a grocery store, a café-bar and a restaurant.

The bustling market town of Uzes is quintessentially French and is 15mins to the north of Blauzac. The town itself has cobbled streets, fine Renaissance mansions and a magnificent central square, the Place-aux-Herbes. The square is surrounded by limestone arches under which shops and restaurants spill out, all shaded by the established sycamore trees. There are two markets every week, one for fresh produce on a Wednesday and another more extensive market on a Saturday. The square is often used for antique stalls, exhibitions, art shows and the annual truffle fair!

Nîmes, 30mins to the south, is a historic city and is often referred to as the "French Rome" due to its remarkable Roman architecture. The city boasts a vibrant food scene, with bustling markets like Les Halles and a wide variety of cafés and restaurants. The city has both an airport and a TGV station.
