The villa consists of a main building and a guest house. The former is extremely spacious, with 3.5 metre ceilings and external terraces on both levels. The living room makes a fantastic first impression, with a feature wall in exposed stone and an open archway into the sunny dining room. Light and air pass right through these twin spaces thanks to double back doors onto the rear patio, where you will find the swimming pool. Off the dining room is a professional grade kitchen with a walk-in pantry.

The sleeping accommodation is ideally configured for the villa's current use as a luxury B&B, with suites comprising a bedroom and bathroom. One, on the ground floor, has a romantic spa bath. Two more, on the first floor, have direct access to the upper terrace, from where you can enjoy a fabulous view of the pool and estate. One of these has been used by the current owners as their own apartment, as it also features a spacious living room.

Across the patio is the guest house, also on two floors with a living room downstairs and a sea-view bedroom on the first floor.

The terrace and the guest house bedroom both give you a great vantage point from which to take in the 5,000m2 estate which surrounds Casa Balata. The swimming pool is an obvious magnet for the gaze, organically shaped and built without the use of concrete to exist in harmony with its natural surroundings. Its water is enriched by salt hydrolysis and it is cleaned by an easy-to-use robot.

Elsewhere in the grounds, you'll find a beautiful array of plants and trees, including dwarf palms, olives and pomegranates. Plenty of succulents and aromatics give colour and sweet fragrances to the gardens and the quiet rural neighbourhood offers a perfect opportunity to disconnect and unwind.
