As a family we have lived in The Rose House for almost 19 years. We have been so happy here, raising our family. Initially we moved here so that our children could walk down the lane, into the forest to go to the local primary school. We have enjoyed many walks into the woods from the house in all directions. The local surrounding area is so picturesque, Mallards Pike, Cannop Ponds and Beechenhurst were amongst our favourites. We have spent many a leisurely afternoon sitting outside with a chilled glass of wine watching the local wildlife, be it a squirrel or red kites flying above. We've also had many parties here, both inside the house or out in the garden. The local community is very friendly, the pubs are welcoming and the shops and takeaways are all within easy reach. Further afield, but within easy reach, there are the cities of Gloucester, Cheltenham and Bristol. We have spent time in all these places enjoying all that they offer, but always happy to come back to the forest.
