Kilbirnie is a small town located approximately 20 miles southwest of Glasgow. The town is well positioned for accessing all major road networks and there is a local train station, Glengarnock, which provides a frequent service to Largs and Glasgow. Kilbirnie has many amenities to include a golf course, swimming pool and shopping amenities as well as a primary and a secondary school. Kilbirnie town in North Ayrshire. Fishing is available at Kilbirnie Loch which is well stocked with rainbow and brown trout. There is also a water-ski and wakeboard club. A passenger ferry ran across the loch at one time. There are excellent yachting facilities at the marinas at Largs, Ardrossan, Inverkip and Troon.
