Description
Silverwells Cottage is a traditional detached dwelling dating from the mid-1800s, set within grounds extending to about an acre which is mainly laid to grass but surrounded by mature trees. It is in a lovely rural location with far reaching views out over the surrounding farmland.
While the cottage requires renovation, it presents an exciting opportunity for sympathetic renovation. Please note that any extension to the property is subject to planning restrictions, with development prohibited on the south-facing front elevation and capped at 1½ storeys in height.
Adjacent to the cottage are several stone-built outbuildings, currently in poor condition. These structures offer potential for residential conversion, subject to the necessary consents, but are restricted from use for commercial purposes.
Accommodation
Currently, the accommodation is spread over two floors.
A covered porch opens into the hallway. To the right is a ground floor bedroom. To the left there is access to the kitchen which has base and wall units, space for appliances and a stainless steel sink with mixer tap.
One door leads through to the livingroom which has a window to the front and an open fireplace in a tiled surround. A second door from the kitchen opens into a utility room which has base and wall units, a sink and a window, and plenty of space for appliances. A door opens into a rear porch with an external door to the garden.
The family bathroom comprises a corner bath a shower, WC and wash basin. Also on the ground floor is a WC with wash basin.
On the upper floor are two further double bedrooms with windows to the front of the property.
