Description

The Sellers View
We moved to Tarragon Way, Burghfield Common with our first baby, and it’s been the perfect family home ever since, filled with wonderful memories. The house has such a great sense of space, with plenty of room for everyone’s things while still feeling cosy and welcoming.

We’ve loved spending time in the garden – whether it’s the children playing, summer barbecues, or sharing a glass (or two!) with friends and family. The Close is peaceful and friendly, with lovely neighbours, many of whom have lived here for years, creating a real sense of community.

The location has been ideal for us – nice and quiet with no passing traffic, yet just a short walk from Burghfield Common’s shops, post office, playgrounds, and well-regarded local schools. We’ve also loved being so close to the woods and open green spaces – perfect for dog walks, family adventures, or simply enjoying the outdoors.

Burghfield Common has such a strong community spirit, with events like pop-up pubs, the May Fayre, and the Christmas Fair that bring everyone together. There’s always something for children and young people to get involved in, from playgrounds and the leisure centre to scouts and sports clubs. Our children went to the local schools and were very happy there, growing up surrounded by friends and opportunities.

Now our ‘baby’ is 21, but she and her siblings still love coming back and being part of the Burghfield Common community. We’ve truly loved living here, and it’s lovely to think of the new owners making their own happy memories in this wonderful home and village.

The Agents View
Set in a peaceful spot on Tarragon Way, this detached four bedroom home offers great space, a practical layout, and plenty of potential for the next owners to make it their own.

Inside, the ground floor features a welcoming entrance hall leading to a bright living room, separate dining room, kitchen, utility, WC, and a conservatory that looks out to the rear garden. Upstairs, there are three comfortable double bedrooms and a generous single or small double, with a family bathroom and ensuite to the main bedroom.

To the front, there’s driveway parking for three to four cars plus a garage, giving excellent storage and flexibility. The rear garden is a lovely size and enjoys a good degree of privacy, offering space for entertaining, relaxing, or family time outdoors.

While the property would benefit from some updating, it presents a fantastic opportunity to create a home perfectly suited to modern family life in one of Burghfield Common’s most popular residential areas.

The Area View
Burghfield Common is a popular village for families, offering a mix of community spirit, green spaces, and convenient local amenities. Tarragon Way is well positioned for everyday life: the village infant, primary and secondary schools are under an 18 minute walk away, and shops, cafés, vets and the post office are just a short walk or drive away.

Families will enjoy nearby playgrounds, sports clubs, and the leisure centre, as well as many local events. For outdoor enthusiasts, woodlands and open green spaces are just minutes on foot, ideal for walking, cycling, walking the dog or exploring with children.

Commuting is straightforward with easy access to the M4, and the three nearest train stations: Mortimer, Theale, and Aldermaston. All within a 10–15 minute drive, offering excellent connections to London and beyond.

With its blend of community, amenities, and transport links, Burghfield Common is a highly desirable location for families seeking a practical yet enjoyable village lifestyle.
