Description
You can't beat this location - riverside living is sublime! It's so private and peaceful here, yet you're right in the middle of everything. It's a 4 minute walk to the high street and the water meadows are right on the doorstep with beautiful walks in each direction.
The house and garden are filled with light. It's south west facing so we have the most beautiful sunset over the cathedral. The kitchen catches the sunshine, the top bedroom has a wonderful view of the river and cathedral and in winter, the fireplace in the front room makes it so cosy.
The garden is really special. It's both private and welcoming; you can relax while watching people strolling along the other side of the river. We've had so many great get-togethers here - barbecues, family celebrations, friends dropping by. It's a house that draws people in.
Our children grew up with the freedom to walk to school, activities, or into town themselves. We always felt very safe here, and walking to and from home.
It has been a joy living here. We've felt fortunate every day, surrounded by friendly neighbours, beauty all around, and a home filled with light, warmth, and happiness. It truly is a special place.

FIRST FLOOR
The double main bedroom has stunning views of the garden, river and cathedral. This is a wonderfully bright room with built-in storage.
Bedroom 2 is a generous single bedroom, leading to the family bathroom with free-standing bath, separate shower and beautiful hand painted walls, making this a truly luxurious space.
SECOND FLOOR
Stairs from bedroom 2 lead to the loft office with views from and back and plenty of space for a desk and sofa. This room would work equally well as an additional reception room.

GARDENS
The main garden, between the front of the house and the river, is the real cherry on top of this lovely cottage. With paved areas for dining and fire-pits on cool evenings, grassed areas and a wonderful spot right by the water for coffee or drinks to watch people wander by, on the opposite side of the River Itchen, with views of the cathedral.
The rear terrace is a small, cosy nook for a quiet moment. There's also an outside loo, and at the back of the house there's a covered storage area for...........
