Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We have lived in the King's Cross area for over two years now and absolutely love it. Incredibly convenient from a transport perspective, so many restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from, plus it is incredibly safe.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management were always very quick to respond to any issues raised (although we didn't have many!)

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The wine dispenser downstairs is often faulty - it might be better to replace it with something else. The facilities are also very expensive to book out (especially given the fact that you're paying a premium to live at Author) and the price increased substantially in the time that we lived there. They often go unused, which is a shame.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in this area has been a really good experience overall. There’s a nice range of local shops, cafés, and restaurants, and most daily essentials are easy to find nearby. The area feels safe and friendly, with a good sense of community.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management team has been very responsive and professional whenever I’ve raised any issues. They communicate clearly, take action quickly, and always follow up to make sure everything is resolved.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known more about how to set up and register all the utilities when moving in. It would have been useful to have a clear guide explaining how to register electricity, water, heating, and internet services, along with the correct providers and contact details.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great area in terms of logistics and in terms of food. Quite and clean with a nice garden and good restaurant in the same building. Sometimes you can hear the trains but only if you open the windows.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Most of the issues are addressed same day and there is 24/7 concierge to help with emergencies (thank you Anthony & Cosmin)

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Rent a flat higher up since trains can be irritating with open windows.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is excellent, perfectly connected to central London and the rest of the city. Coal Drops Yard has really come to life, with fantastic restaurants, cafés, and shops opening all the time. Despite being close to all the action, the building sits just off the main streets, so it feels peaceful and safe while still being right in the heart of everything.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Issues are resolved very quickly, usually within the same day. The concierge team responds almost instantly, often within minutes, which makes the whole experience seamless and stress-free.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish that I would have known that such great places exist in London.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

This area truly has everything you could possibly need but also gives the easiest access to the rest of London and beyond with kings cross and st pancras being so close.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, I’ve had a couple of maintenance issues, one involving a leak that was pretty bad, and they responded quickly and efficiently and got an engineer in ASAP to fix it.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Genuinely, nothing. I have had zero complaints and zero stress living here.
