Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There's an old Bury Market near my home, which is very unique and has cheap goods, making it easy to buy. However, there's a gym near the housing estate that's very noisy, affecting the quiet environment, but there's no way to fix it.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

the building management and property management are very considerate and quick to follow up, which makes me very satisfied.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The rental market wants to display the floor of the unit, because people who have just arrived in the UK only look at the apartment number and have no idea how high the rental unit is from the ground, because some people are afraid of heights.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The connection is provided with the apartment. However, the connection is really bad and therefore jot suitable if you are working from home. They have tried to remediate the issue but it’s an ongoing issue with no resolution in sight. There is no street parking so you would need to park at the Rock shopping centre which will be expensive over the long term.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Slow at solving issues. Takes 24 hours to respond and some times the query isn’t solved

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parcels get stolen quite often as well. The resolution given is to deliver parcels somewhere else.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in this neighbourhood offers a vibrant mix of local shops, restaurants, and bars, ensuring a lively atmosphere and diverse options for dining and entertainment.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Issues are resolved very quickly and professionaly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I should have opted for the view of the town centre or a better view of the outdoors as I am facing the inside so do not get much view from my balcony.

    Dec 2023

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Location is ideal. It is above a shopping complex, so you walk outside the door and you're right where the best shops and restaurants are. However, it does come with a lot of downsides due to the central location. Where the apartments are located, they have no taxi pick up spots. It's disabled bays the whole way down the street. Lack of planning was made by the council and the developers. When I moved in, I paid for a permit from the council, but I was only able to park in the disabled bays, not on double yellows and it was a waste as I still couldn't park anywhere to move furniture in. You also have the issue that there's a lot of people use the Rock as a pass through after a night out, so especially on summer nights you will get disturbed 3/4 nights a week due to drunk people or inconsiderate neighbours passing by. The main road was recently re-laid during the summer nights and it's so warm in the apartments you had to make a choice to have the windows open and have to deal with the noise, or struggle with the heat inside. The main road is a busy road for ambulances and other emergency services vehicles and you often hear those going past too, so if you're a light sleeper it's not ideal. As with any central location, there's dreaded parcel thieves and parcels seem to constantly be stolen. Speaking to the police and community support, they've advised that cameras are not working in some or all of the blocks so Grainger cannot even pass CCTV to the police to investigate. It's pretty unacceptable when they're expecting to increase tenants rents to £820 a month for a property. Not to mention, Bury Music Service are now occupying a building across the street for what you could consider to be the premium properties towards the Wilko end and it's also a notorious area for buskers, which will use sound systems and there's currently an ongoing battle with the Rock (who are fantastic!) and the council to move them due to it being council land that they're busking on.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Absolutely zero response to any complaints, or they're brushed off.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had had access to the Rock Living page prior to moving in, as I likely would've chosen a different property.
