Occupying a north-east facing slope and forming part of a largely undeveloped wooded valley that provides an attractive backdrop to the town, Deansgarden Wood is an area of ancient semi-natural woodland within the Chiltern Hills. There is a broad spread of native species including beech, ash, lime, oak, sycamore, field maple hornbeam, whitebeam and horse chestnut.
