Description
The Lodge is a luxury 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a wonderful large open plan sitting room and kitchen, a hard wearing wrap around deck overlooking the lake, a separate utility room, hallway to store coats and shoes, storage units and parking for 2 cars on the driveway.
The current owners have added air-conditioning too, so really did enjoy last summers heat... and they also fitted voice activated electric blinds in the main living area to make life easy.
The kitchen is a great open space, with a gas hob and oven, fitted fridge and freezer, dishwasher, a built in microwave, white ceramic sink and breakfast bar. The lovely Smeg toaster and coffee machine are included! There is a dining table and chairs and comfortable, plush sitting room with expensive sofas included.
I can not stress how immaculate this couple are. I have never known such a tidy pair and they have upgraded virtually everything in the lodge to ensure the curtains, blinds, flooring and carpet are top quality. They have done all this so you don't have to buy a new one and spend a fortune bringing it up to this high standard.
Usefully on the driveway are 2 metal containers used for storing outdoor equipment, chair covers, lawn mower, bikes etc. The owner is responsible for cutting the grass around their lodge. Management are responsible for the grass in front of the lake.
You can paddle board or kayak on the adjacent lake and there is an indoor swimming pool and Clubhouse to enjoy a drink or Sunday lunch. Definitely a sociable place to gather and meet others should you wish to.
I am reliably informed there is a fine 16th century pub, The Old Chestnut Tree Inn to try in Lower Moor that does an excellent Sunday lunch and the excellent Wood Norton, a French royal hunting lodge serving delicious cuisine and first class dining experience and a tasty pie shop/butchers in Fladbury. spoilt for choice..
No council tax here to pay but you have to prove that you own another home to allow you to buy a lodge here. There is mains gas, electricity, water and drainage on site. The lodge is 41ft x 20 ft in size. Feels and looks a great size.
ALL FURNITURE IS INCLUDED IN THE SALE, SAVING YOU THOUSANDS OF POUNDS AND THE LONG WAIT THAT CAN ENTAIL.
***As you will know with lodges, you can not stay in them for 2 months of the year, the dates you have to be out of the lodge is the 7th January to the 7th March yearly. This allows you to go on a cruise, have a lovely long holiday in the sun and then return when the daffodils are out! Perfect.**
LOCATION
The owners very kindly have explained what they love about The Springs Holiday Park life.
The Springs offers a real sense of community with friendly people that always say hello and ask how you are.
The regular entertainment held at the clubhouse brings everyone together with the added benefit of not having to worry about getting home if you want to have a drink! You can even play pool or darts at the clubhouse should you wish. Miguel and his team at the clubhouse provide excellent food offerings including a Sunday lunch and even Christmas and Boxing Day lunch is available.
The indoor swimming pool on site is free to use and is an excellent facility for getting some easy exercise and there is a weekly aqua aerobics class that is well attended. Paddle boarding and kayaking can also be enjoyed onsite for a small extra fee.
Above all we love the outdoors and being so close to wildlife. Mornings spent drinking tea by the lake watching the beautiful wildlife is a real joy. While we have been here we have enjoyed regular sightings of deer, stoats, kingfishers, herons, nightly viewings of the foxes and their cubs and even been honoured to spot otters in the lake that the lodge is sited on.
Excellent fishing can be enjoyed throughout the park. Many of the lakes contain large carp and fish weighing over 40lb have been caught. Everyone you speak to at The Springs will tell you just how much they love being here. Many people spend more time here than they do at their homes!
The park never feels busy so peace and quiet is in abundance, if that is what you want, or you can make great friends and blend into the fabulous community that the park offers.
Equidistant to both Pershore and Evesham train stations. Evesham offers Waitrose, Tesco and Morrisons, plenty of cafes and individual shops. Both towns offer beautiful riverside ways along the Avon.
