Tanhouse Farm Mooring, Frampton on Severn, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, GL2

Description

This Is Your Chance to Live the Dream…We are Selling Our Gorgeous boat ‘The RiverWitch’. She is a traditional 72ft narrow boat that we have refurbished over the years, from the empty shell that we originally bought. She sits on permanent mooring, with all its fab perks, which are very rare, on this beautiful stretch of canal.
RiverWitch is moored in an idylic, peaceful and private mooring on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal, which is a 16 miles stretch of inland waterway. There are no locks to contend with for those beginning their narrowboat adventure. This is a totally unique mooring, a one of its kind on the whole of this particular canal & so not to be missed.

RiverWitch is registered to her mooring, which benefits from a good deal of privacy being located on the opposite side from the tow path. There is private access via a short stroll from the private off road car parking area, through woodland and up & over a footbridge, not to mention that there is the added benefit of electric hook up.

The current layout within the accommodation includes an open plan lounge/dining/study with woodburner, kitchen with oak work tops, Belfast sink, with appliances including, washing machine, fridge/freezer, dryer and cooker.
There is a main bedroom with dressing room area with the back cabin offering an additional sleeping area or workshop space. There is also a good size toilet and shower room. However, there is much scope to remodel her to create a multi bedroom/ cabin boat should that be wanted. The gas boiler provides hot water and central heating & of course the use of a very convenient electric hook up. The sizeable embankment area, or garden, is a beautiful space to entertain or relax and is surrounded by woodland behind and the canal to the front.

This is a permanent mooring & we have lived on the RiverWitch for nearly 12yrs. The mooring costs are £350 plus £20 electricity pcm. The Canal and River Trust licence is £452 per quarter which pays for water, rubbish collection, sewage
emptying and use of the locks & travelling around the waterways. Gas bottle is approximately £42-£48 every 8-12 weeks.

The RiverWitch had a full out of water survey in February 2025 and also has up to date boat safe certificate, which doesn’t need renewing for another few years and has had gas pipes replaced and a gas safety check in Feb/May of 2025. RiverWitch is being sold with all the necessarily batteries, an inverter, Eberspatcher heater, as well as a well maintained Lister Engine. Also Included in the sale of the boat will be all of the white goods, which include, Fridge Freezer, Drier, cooker, & Eco Bubble washing machine.
