1 Bargate Cottage is located approximately one mile from the center of Lanchester, one of the most popular and desirable villages in County Durham. It is within walking distance of local amenities such as shops, schools, garden centers and restaurants and benefits from views of the surrounding countryside, as it is nestled out of the way on the outskirts of the village. There is easy access to the A691, which is ideal for commuting between Durham City and Consett, as well as only being approximately 14 miles from Newcastle Upon Tyne.

There is shared access to the Bargate Cottages directly off Bargate Bank (B6301), only a minutes drive away from the center of Lanchester. Access to the large rear garden is through the property or from the private driveway. There is space to park up to three vehicles on the drive.

The property is heated by oil central heating and is connected to mains water and electric. Drainage is to a private septic tank. The cost for the use of the septic tank is included within the monthly rent. It will be the Tenants responsibility to ensure the oil tank is topped up when required. Both the oil tank and oil boiler, is externally located by the driveway.
