" We love our vast view over Bristol, and enjoy watching the balloons drift by or the sky light up with fireworks. I've enjoyed infusing this home with character through colourful decor and have also landscaped the garden, where we enjoy the afternoon sunshine. Mendip Road boasts a strong sense of community, including an active WhatsApp group, festive window competitions, and a new monthly 'Playing Out' initiative. Victoria Park is on our doorstep, perfect for walks, and enjoying the community tennis club. We love living near North Street and make the most of its independent restaurants and shops. Windmill Hill itself has a wonderful community spirit, with local initiatives like Art on the Hill and Windmill Hill City Farm. "

The home

A spacious four bedroom house set over four floors on Mendip Road. The ground floor is home to a living room at the front with bay window out to the street, a separate dining room in the middle with fitted shelves and storage and a kitchen at the rear with views over the city. Down a floor to the garden is a second reception room/playroom which can also be used as a fifth bedroom with utility room off it and toilet and shower room.

Upstairs on the first floor are three bedrooms and a modern bathroom and the loft has been converted into a master bedroom with en-suite and has some of the best views in Bristol.

The garden is a private oasis in the city, with gorgeous shrubs and trees and a large patio area.

Living in Windmill Hill

Mendip Road is a quiet residential street in Windmill Hill, with sweeping views across Bristol and the surrounding countryside. Within a 5 minute walk from the house you’ll find Corner Stores coffee shop by Fox & West, The Victoria Park pub, the Rising Sun, and Windmill Hill Community Centre.

Head into neighbouring Bedminster’s and you’ll hit East Street, with more indie stores and coffee shops including The Bristol Loaf, Southville Deli, Boona Boona Coffee Roasters and Pinkmans. You’ll also find plenty of restaurants and bars, including Bombil, Alpha Bottle Shop, and Michelin-recommended OTHER just around the corner on Cannon Street.

At the heart of Windmill Hill lies Victoria Park. Spanning 50 acres, this open green space offers views across the city and is perfect for a morning dog walk or run - followed by a post-stroll coffee from Feral Folk, the park’s resident coffee van.
