Costanita Villas is a family business run and owned by local businessman Kosta Krasaki and his Australian wife Anita.

As Kosta is a local guy, growing up in Chania, Gavalochori and Almyrida he has extensive knowledge of the local area and a good idea of property opportunities that are available.

Kosta started out working in hospitality for his family business. At the age of 10 years old he began working as a labourer for a local builder to pass the winter months until the Taverna reopened. He realised early on that general maintenance was an ongoing part of hospitality and decided to take on the responsibility himself. He learned the skills of general maintenance and was doing all kinds of repairs with either wood, metal or plumbing. He has been in and out of the building industry ever since.

Kosta’s first major project was building the family home in Almyrida. The following project was 2 luxury villas in Gavalochori and then on to another traditional villa in Gavalochori which was completely renovated and sub divided into 2 separate dwellings.

Kosta’s experience in the building trade grew after meeting Anita. Every winter they travel back to Australia were Kosta works as a carpenter/builder increasing his level of skill. Whether it be building Villas in Crete or luxury homes in Australia, Kosta is always ready to take on a new project.

Anita grew up outside of Sydney, Australia and has been in the hospitality trade for many years. Starting out as a Pizza Chef way back when she was 14yrs old she has now worked in 3 different countries running busy Wine Bars, Cafs, Pubs Hotels and Tavernas.

Anita and her mother Janelle had 2 very successful country Hotels in Kent, U.K for a period of 10yrs. Both had B+B facilities, one hotel with 8 letting rooms and the other with 18 letting rooms. It was Anita’s involvement in the maintenance, renovating and decorating aspect of this side of the business that started Anita thinking about the property industry.

And so Costanita Villas was created.
