Description
This traditional semi-detached house has been extended and modernised to provide a generously-proportioned family home that should appeal to couples and families alike.
The house has UPVC double glazing, gas central heating (via Vaillant combi. boiler) and owned solar panels (to the rear elevation), as well as the interesting feature of a built-in FlowMaster vacuum cleaning system. The accommodation comprises, on the ground floor: entrance hall with wooden flooring and stairs to the first floor, a living room with an ornamental fireplace and shelves to the alcoves, an additional sitting room with glazed doors to the dining area of the large, open-plan kitchen/dining/family room, which is almost 28' wide (8.5m) and has, to one end, some fitted base units with a wooden worktop and a Range-style gas cooker; there are also three Velux windows and two sets of French doors out to the rear decking and garden. Off the kitchen is a useful utility room, which also has base units and a door to access the garage (which has an electric roller door to the front and a cold water tap).
To the first floor, the landing (which has a loft hatch with drop-down ladder) leads to the four bedrooms and the shower room. The principle bedroom, which was extended above the garage, has a modern en suite bathroom with a free-standing bath, wash basin and WC., as well as another loft hatch. There are two further double bedrooms and a fourth bedroom/study, as well as the family shower room, which has a stand-alone curved shower cubicle with spa jets, a wash basin in vanity unit and W.C.
Externally, there is a block-paved driveway to the front, with space to park at least two cars and a large flower bed. The south-facing rear garden has decking across the width of the house directly out from the French doors and steps down to the lawn, with well established apple and pear trees and other shrubs, as well as a shed and a greenhouse. There is also a gate for access out to the rear lane (Greenfields). The solar panels are on the rear elevation, benefitting from the southerly elevation and generating electricity that can be used or sold to the National Grid.
