A paved path leads to the front door and there is gated side access to the side of the house. The low maintenance courtyard garden at the rear is paved and is enclosed by timber fencing. There is an outside tap and external lighting.

Downley has an open common with footpaths and bridleways. The Le De Spencers Arms and The Bricklayers public houses are both within walking distance. There is a village hall, cricket club, supermarkets and a pharmacy and a bus service to High Wycombe. The property is in catchment for The Downley School and grammar schools in High Wycombe.
