Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Local area is amazing. So close to town, northern quarter and ancoats. Shops, gym, cafes, bars and restaurants are so close to the building. Traffic is a bit noisy as just off the main oldham road but flats are well insulated.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
With complete ignorance and stupidity. Would never go to them for any other problems.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I'd known how untrusworthy the landords were as I would never have moved there.
Manager's response2Hi Claire Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re genuinely pleased to hear that you enjoy the building’s location, facilities, and design — especially the rooftop terrace and the convenience of the surrounding area. However, we’re very sorry to hear about the negative experiences you’ve outlined. This is not the standard of service or communication we aim to provide, and your comments are concerning. We would really appreciate the opportunity to understand more about the issues you’ve faced, particularly regarding the concerns raised about management responses, and the challenges you’ve mentioned around contracts and tenancy changes. Your feedback is incredibly valuable in helping us identify where things have gone wrong and how we can improve. If you’re open to it, could you please contact us directly so we can discuss your experience in more detail? We are committed to putting things right wherever possible and ensuring a more positive experience moving forward. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention — we hope to have the chance to resolve this with you. Kind Regards, Broadside Team

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Location is of easy access to city centre. Super convenient for public transportation, lots of choices of cafes and restaurants. The building has a car park which is a plus. It can be noisy at times as it’s close to the main road. Broadside is very close to the adjacent building. Some units may have to compromise their privacy.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Very quick response to email enquiries. The Community Manager, Astor, is helpful and very efficient. She always follow up on issues even it cannot be fixed instantly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Utilities bills can be quite high as we cannot choose our own provider.
Manager's response4Hi DDL, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback — we truly appreciate it. We’re delighted to hear that you’ve enjoyed Broadside’s contemporary design, spacious layout, and the convenience of the location. It’s also wonderful to hear your positive comments about our recent corridor refresh and our ongoing safety checks. Thank you for your kind words about me, it is definitely a team effort , and our team is very happy to know our support has made a difference. We also appreciate you highlighting areas where we can improve. Comments about noise, privacy, utilities, and wear and tear in the apartments are incredibly valuable, and we will continue reviewing these points to ensure we deliver the best possible experience for our residents. Thank you again for your thoughtful review and for recommending us — it means a lot. If there’s ever anything more we can do to support you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Kind Regards, Broadside Team

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The apartment is in an excellent location, right in the heart of northern quarter, lots of shops and pubs around for a good night out! Also well connected through public transport, I haven’t really noticed any such anti social behaviour in the past 2 years that I’ve lived here. Overall would recommend this area, great place to live in!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They are slow with repairs and maintenance issues, but other than that for general enquiries they are very quick and helpful!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I don’t think there’s any such thing that I wish I knew earlier.
Manager's response5Hi Khushi Thank you so much for sharing your feedback — we really appreciate it. We’re delighted to hear that you’re enjoying the modern design, the well-maintained communal spaces, and the warm welcome from our reception and concierge teams. It’s great to know your dog is enjoying Broadside as well — the treats are always ready! We’re grateful as well for your honesty about the areas where we can do better. We’re sorry to hear about the delays you’ve experienced with maintenance and the issues with the bin rooms. This is something we take seriously, and your feedback helps us continue working to improve response times and ensure communal areas remain consistently clean and well serviced. As you might already be aware, we are also glad to say that we have increased the number of collection day to twice a week and sourced extra hours to tidy the bin room; alongside with reminders to our residents about keeping the area tidy. It’s wonderful to hear that you’ve had such a positive experience living in the Northern Quarter, and that the location and community have worked so well for you over the past two years. Thank you again for your thoughtful comments and your recommendation. If there’s ever anything more we can do to support you or make your experience smoother, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Kind Regards, The Broadside Team

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Good area, close to city centre. Bit far from university campus but tram is close and takes you there
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
No issues yet. But been very kind to me during moving
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Minor scratches and skids on walls, since I did a virtual viewing
Manager's response5Hi Fenen, Thank you so much for sharing your feedback — we’re really glad to hear that you’re enjoying your flat and that it was in great condition when you arrived. It’s lovely to know that the move-in process felt smooth and that our team made you feel welcome. Your comments help us continue improving our pre-arrival checks, and we’ll make sure this is passed on to the team. Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Broadside offers a great location, the flats are lovely with great views and catch the sun at all points of the day. The variety of local bars and shops is fantastic. The management team and concierge are responsive and have responded to any maintenance issues promptly each time.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Promptly and have resolved issue quickly each time any maintenance problems have arose
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Being adjacent to the main road and nearby the fire station, it can be quite noisy at times of busy traffic.
Manager's response5Hi Robin, Thank you for sharing such positive feedback! We’re delighted that you’re enjoying the convenience of Broadside’s location, the views from your flat, and the vibrant community that Ancoats has to offer. It’s also wonderful to hear that our management and concierge teams have been responsive and able to resolve any maintenance issues promptly for you. We appreciate you highlighting both the positives and the realities of living in the city centre — while the energy of Manchester brings a bit of background noise, we’re so glad the location and atmosphere add to your overall experience. It means a lot to know you would recommend us, and we’re really pleased to have you as part of the Broadside community.
