Colzium Farm Steading comprises 2 buildings. The older of the two is a workshop fronting the farm track. A newer ventilated lambing shed is attached to the rear of the workshops, beyond which are 2 fenced paddocks and a rectangular 10acre field. The Round Barns and Farm Steading, Colzium Farm, Kirknewton, West Lothian, EH27 8DH - The subjects are located in a rural setting although in proximity to 2 other residential dwellings. The access road is single track with some passing spaces. Located within reasonable proximity to Harperrig Reservoir (Harperrig Reservoir is a reservoir in West Lothian, Scotland, to the north of the Pentland Hills, four miles (6.4 km) south of Mid Calder). At Harperrig Reservoir the fishing season runs from 15 March to 15 October and the fishing permits are administered and sold by Harperrig Fisheries Ltd, a company which represents the various owners of the fishing rights. Both boat and bank fishing are allowed and the reservoir is stocked with brown trout. The property has been part of Colzium Farm and is accessed via a single track road serving the farm and other residential properties. We understand that mains electricity is available on site. There is a private water supply and septic tank drainage. The subjects are situated in a rural setting, surrounded by fields and woodlands, and in close proximity to Harperrig Reservoir, a commercially run fishing loch. The nearest town is Kirknewton, a village formerly in the county of Midlothian and, since 1975, in West Lothian.
