If you’re looking for some places to eat/drink while you’re here we recommend:
1. There is a cool new wine bar opened at the top of Elmfield Road. It’s called Henny's (195C Balham High Road, SW12 9BE) It’s green outside and is near the co-op Super Market.
2. Jefferson’s is nice for a sweet treat. It is beside the co-op too on Balham High Road (191B Balham High Road, SW12 9BE)
3. The best Indian in South London in my opinion is on Balham High Road too. It’s called Balham Social (2, Station Parade, Balham High Rd, SW12 9AZ)You will need a reservation.
4. The Apple Blue (opposite side of the road to Balham Social) is nice for brunch/pastries and coffee (212 Balham High Rd, London SW12 9BS)
5 . For a great juice bar and nutrition advice, we recommend Adaptogen. It is located at 23. Harberson Road (in a spinning studio called dog house ). This cafe is open from 7 am- 2 pm.
6. We recommend a trip to Hildreth Street - there are two nice brunch places there - Brickwoood is our favorite (11 Hildreth St, London SW12 9RQ) or Milk (queues are super long at the weekend though for Milk )
Gym & Pool:
If you are looking to go to the Gym or to swim (or Steam Room & Sauna) there is a gym located across the road (Postcode: SW17 8AN). You just need to download the Places for Leisure App, and you can pay as you go and view the timetable there.
If you would like to walk in a park, there are two closeby - Wandsworth Common (Postcode SW17 7EG) or Tooting Common (SW16 1RT). Tooting Common also has the UK's largest outdoor pool and it is open to the public. You can book a swim via the places for leisure app. The postcode for the lido is: SW16 1RU. The lido is 900 meters from the property.
