Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We have so many amazing bars and eateries on our doorstep here - Malt & Hops, Browns, Rose Leaf & the tap rooms are our faves so far. We are huge foodies, so the Michelin star places nearby are next on our list for special occasions.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Promptly - excellent customer service. A lot of information on the apartment and furniture was given in advance.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Can’t think of anything for this one! The viewing by Lloyd was really thorough. I think for people brand new to Leith, info on the transport links is always helpful. I work in the city and it’s so easy to get there by tram

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in my local area has several positives and some drawbacks. The range of shops, restaurants, and bars is decent, offering a mix of everyday conveniences and a few unique dining options. Open spaces are pleasant, with parks and green areas for walking or recreation, though some can get crowded at peak times. Transport links are generally convenient, with bus and train services connecting well to nearby towns and the city, although occasional delays and limited evening services can be frustrating. On my street, parking is usually manageable but can be tight during weekends. Bin collections are reliable, and the area feels relatively safe with minimal anti-social behavior, though traffic noise can be noticeable during rush hours. Overall, it’s a comfortable and fairly convenient place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been responsive, addressing issues promptly and keeping me informed throughout the process.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the occasional traffic noise during peak hours and the limited evening public transport options. It would also have been helpful to know which local shops and services are busiest at certain times, and that some shared facilities, like the gym, can get crowded. Overall, these small insights would have helped me plan daily routines and parking more effectively.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in the Dockside Leith area has been a really positive experience overall. There’s a great selection of cafés, restaurants and bars nearby, along with enough local shops to cover everyday needs without going far. The waterfront paths and open spaces give the neighbourhood a relaxed feel and make it a nice place to spend time. Transport links are easy to use, with regular buses and the tram close by, so getting around Edinburgh is simple. Parking can be a bit limited at times, but it’s manageable once you get used to the area. Bin collections are consistent, and the street is generally quiet with very little noise or anti-social behaviour. It’s a comfortable and convenient place to live with a good balance of amenities and calm surroundings.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management team has responded quickly and clearly to any issues I’ve raised. They’ve been consistent, helpful and straightforward, and any problems have been resolved without much hassle.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Not much! If i have questions the staff are more than happy to help !!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in the area is enjoyable overall. There’s a good variety of shops, cafés, bars, and restaurants, and the nearby waterfront and open spaces make it pleasant for walks and outdoor activities. Transport links are generally convenient with regular trams and buses, though services can sometimes be delayed or crowded. My street is mostly quiet and safe, with reliable bin collections and minimal anti-social behaviour. Parking can be limited, particularly at peak times, but overall it’s a well-connected, lively neighbourhood with plenty of amenities nearby.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been responsive and professional, addressing any issues promptly and keeping me informed throughout the process.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how limited parking can be, especially during evenings and weekends, which makes having a car less convenient. It’s also useful to learn the best walking routes to shops, cafés, and the tram, as shortcuts make daily errands easier. Additionally, being aware of occasional delivery or construction activity nearby helps set realistic expectations for noise and access when moving in.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Incredible location with the amazing local bars, eateries and loads of brilliant taprooms. Great views looking back over Edinburgh.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly, efficiently and with a large degree of compassion and caring.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That mimis bake house would be closing 😒. On the flip side, we’ve found so many other eateries
