Description

The Gables The Gables is one of those properties that rarely comes to market. A once in a lifetime and particularly exciting opportunity. The property is a 4 bedroom semi detached that offers stunning, relaxing and rewarding views from every single room.

This is your time to make this deceptively spacious countryside cottage truly your own. The property features a spacious living room that comprises of lounge and dining area. There are two chimney breasts which means potential for 2 fires, stoves or recessed display. This impressive living room features an exposed timber beam.

From here you can access the garden facing study which overlooks the patio and countryside, and from here the boot room which comes equipped with a WC, basin and door onto the garden.

Returning to the dining area and there are doors to the under stairs storage and to the spacious breakfast kitchen with utility area that was refitted in 2019 with a Howdens timber effect shaker style range of units and timber effect surfaces. The design includes pan and utensil drawers that are on cushion close and there is also a cutlery drawer neatly concealed in one of the pan drawers.

The cooking station comprises of a fan assisted oven, a 4 ring electric hob with a stylish dark glass splash back and a stainless steel extractor. This room feels spacious and benefits from windows to 3 sides. We also liked the step down from the utility area to the kitchen part which gives the kitchen area that bit more height. There is also a door onto the side patio.

Moving upstairs and one of the appealing querks might be the split level landing. To the left will be the front facing master bedroom, bedroom two and the bathroom. This Master Bedroom has some of the best views over open countryside and being back to back with bedroom 2 could be combined for a larger suite with dressing and lounge areas, an elevated garden outlook and more countryside an the City beyond.

To the other side are bedrooms 3 and 4. Both are good singles but could be combined for a dual aspect large double.

The bathroom has been fitted with a three piece suite comprising of a deep panelled bath with an electric shower for instant hot water and a glass screen. A wash basin and WC makes up the suite.

Moving outside the garden enjoys countryside all along the side providing seclusion and views. And if that weren't enough, then through the timber gate is a good sized patch of ground that could soon become a sitting/relaxing area that adjoins a large field that looks towards the City and the Welsh Hills.
There are a variety of trees that includes an apple and ornamental cherry trees. There is a space that has been set aside for a green house which could easily become more lawn or patio and a large timber shed/work shop.

The Gables offers a unique combination of location, property, garden and surroundings. The Gables is a property you have to see and one you might want as your next home or project.

Does this sound like you? Does this sound like the lifestyle you have been longing for? If so, you might have just found the one!

The Huntington lifestyle
Living in Huntington means the best of many worlds. It is only a short distance the river Dee and sailing club where you can take a ferry over to the Handbridge Meadows during the summer time. The City is then about a ten minute walk over the beautiful river crossing where you will find the riverside promenade with the popular Hickory's, the Boat House, Grosvenor Park and the very popular ice cream stand.

Returning to the sailing club and car park on Chester Road, walk a couple of minutes further and you will find the popular "The Mount" Inn where you can relax and enjoy an elevated outlook over the river!

But closer to home is the popular Rake and Pikel Inn, a hairdressers, new COOP that's open 7 days a week till 22:00, a church, excellent Indian and Chinese takeaways and a newsagents/general store. There is also a garden centre with post office and a small store. The Caldy Nature Park, the playing field and children's play park are all an easy walk.

Sainsbury's, Pets At Home with Vet's surgery and a variety of other supermarkets are about a 5 minute drive. There is also a parade of shops at Great Boughton where you will find more pubs/Inns, a new and particularly popular café, a Tanner's wine store, butchers, post office, florist, COOP, takeaways and dog groomers.

Huntington recently saw the opening of a brand-new state of the art primary school. After the primary years, there is the 'Good and Outstanding' Bishops Blue Coat High School with 6th Form, the 'Good and Outstanding' Christleton High School with 6th Form or the Abbey Gate College in Saighton.

There are a number of excellent hotel-based gyms with spa's, golf courses, cricket and rugby - all within easy driving distance. The park and ride is about a 5 minute drive by the superstores and the countryside is right on your doorstep. The airports are about a 45-minute drive, the North Wales Coast appears in less than 30 and the City and railway stations are about a 10 minute drive making Huntington a strong contender for your upcoming move.
