Main chalet (100m2)

Outside

The plot sits on a 1ha plot, most of which is woodland. Finding a property with this amount of land in such a sought-after area is unusual. There's a traditional Nordic hot tub, which is a magical place to unwind and admire the surroundings. Perched in the trees is the glamping pod, which offers a properly immersive Alpine experience. 

Location:

The chalet is located just above the popular resort of Les Houches, at the entrance to the Chamonix Valley. Access to the chalet is via a track, which in winter months is snow-covered. A 4x4 or tracked vehicle is necessary to get up to the property. The current owners use a Polaris, which can be included in the sale. 

Skiing is accessible nearby, with Les Houches, Saint-Gervais and the wider Evasion Mont-Blanc domain close at hand, while Chamonix is a short drive away. Direct ski access is possible for tourers, or by driving 5 minutes up the track to the Plancerts ski lift. 

Les Houches has 55km of varied terrain, suitable for all levels. Advanced skiers will also enjoy the challenge of 'La Verte', a relentless, black-graded descent made world famous by the annual Kandahar World Cup Downhill Skiing events. There's also a snow park and some stunning tree-lined descents. There's a free shuttle bus into the centre of Chamonix which takes 15mins. The shuttle bus also gives easy access to the resorts of Argentière and Vallorcine. The airport at Geneva is an hour away.
