Lehanagh enjoys a convenient location which is rich in walking trails, fishing spots, and scenic drives, making it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.

Cashel is a small village in Connemara on the Wild Atlantic Way. Roundstone (14 km) is a delightful fishing village which is always a buzz of activity and offers pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants including the award-winning O'Dowd's Seafood Bar and Restaurant. Clifden (24 km) offers a further range of shops, services and amenities with Galway City only 67 km distant providing a full range of services, shopping and amenities.

Connemara, situated at the very edge of Europe, is one of the most beautiful, unspoiled places across Ireland. Maam Cross (23 km) is famed for its October horse fair and the mart with its livestock sales of Connemara ponies. It is one of Ireland's oldest and most historic fairs in the west of Ireland. From the rugged Twelve Bens Mountain range in the north through to the lake-rich Roundstone bog and the golden beaches reaching out into the Atlantic Ocean, it is regarded as one of the most picturesque landscapes in the west.
