Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

West street noise is practically non existent from the back of the building and the windows are great and sound proofing. It’s also right next to bars, supermarkets and public transport

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Ventilation was fixed after the rooms were not venting properly

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How good the events are. The sense of community from living here

    Dec 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living around Sheffield offers a great balance of city life and nature. The Peak District is right on the doorstep, making it easy to enjoy hiking, cycling, and beautiful countryside views, while the city itself has a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere. Sheffield is known for its strong sense of community, good universities, lively music and food scenes, and relatively affordable living compared to other UK cities. It’s a place where you can enjoy green spaces, culture, and convenience without the feeling of being overcrowded.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Clive from maintenance is reliable, friendly, and always quick to fix issues, making a real difference to everyday living.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I knew before I moved in is just how welcoming the community and staff would be, because it really makes the place feel like home from day one.

    Dec 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area was very well connected, as it is right in the city centre. There is a great range of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops nearby, as well as easy access to public transport. Everything is within walking distance, which is extremely convenient. The only downside is that, because it is such a central location, it can get quite busy at times and a bit noisier, especially during weekends or events. However, overall it is a very lively and pleasant area to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have always responded quickly and resolved any issues efficiently.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There wasn’t anything major I wish I had known, but understanding small practical details earlier would have been helpful.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s really local and easy to get around. The noise from West Street can be excessive sometimes, including the trams!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have been quickly reactive and really go out of their way.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How sound proof the rooms are, it’s really quite quiet in the building.

    Nov 2025

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location very central and around alot of shops and great things, the road can be busy sometimes but its still worth it

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Whenever I’ve raised an issue, the building management has generally responded in a timely and professional way. Maintenance requests are acknowledged quickly, and most problems are either resolved within a reasonable period or I’m kept updated on the next steps.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

wish I had known a bit more about what the building is like during its busiest times, rather than just how it looks during a quiet viewing. For example, it would have been helpful to understand how much you can hear noise from corridors or neighbouring flats at night and during weekends, especially around exam periods or when people are moving in and out.
