Description
The History
Long Fox Manor is a Grade II listed Georgian building, built in 1806 by Edward Long Fox. It is set within 36 hectares (89 acres) of land, which encompasses a chapel, gardens, and woodlands. In the early 2000s, the historic building was converted into private apartments, and the name Long Fox Manor became established for the residential development.
The Home
The apartment is situated on the ground floor of the building, set towards the back and sharing an entrance with three other apartments. As you enter, you are greeted by a wide hallway that leads to a high-ceilinged bedroom with a striking sash windows, new carpets, and three-metre-long cupboards. Next door is the bathroom, featuring a bath and a shower, designed for both style and comfort.
At the end of the hallway is the open living space – the heart of the home. It features (three) a large sash windows with new custom-built wooden shutters, new flooring, and fresh décor throughout. The room offers ample space for relaxing or entertaining and provides great views out to the Long Fox Manor grounds. Finally, the modern kitchen has been upgraded with new appliances, new shutters and fitted to maximise functionality, creating a bright and inviting area.
In addition to the cosmetic improvements, work has been carried out to improve the heating system, including a new boiler, room thermostats, and radiator sensors.
The Outside
Accessed via secure electric gates, the building is set within acres of communal gardens and private woodland. Facilities include a tennis court, a sauna, outdoor heated swimming pool, hot tub and a fully equipped gym with changing rooms. There is also a ballroom that can be used for private events, along with a bar and lounge – all available for residents to use and included in the service charge.
The mature grounds also include a BBQ area, sheds and greenhouses and an allotment space, where residents can grow their own food.
