Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area has a Sainsbury's about 10 minutes' walk away, though the shopping centre closes at 6pm which can be inconvenient for after-work shopping. For more variety you'll need to travel further. The development has lovely views over the Medway, which is a real highlight. Transport links are good - the station is a 15-minute walk with fast trains to London, making it viable for commuters. The street itself backs onto a busy road, so there is noticeable traffic noise if you have the windows open. Paid allocated parking is available. Bin collections have been fine, and I haven't experienced any anti-social behaviour. The development is noticeably more upscale than the surrounding area - Chatham isn't the most affluent town, and there's quite a contrast between this new build and the local neighborhood. Depending on your perspective, this could be seen as good value for the spec of accommodation, or you might prefer a development that blends more naturally with its surroundings.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been quick to respond and resolve issues once they've been raised. Communication is friendly and action is taken promptly. However, many of the problems could have been prevented with better organization and proactive planning during the initial move-in process. Going forward, I hope the responsiveness continues and that processes become more streamlined.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I'd known there would be significant staff changes during the move-in process, which led to things being dropped or overlooked repeatedly. Even staying organized on my end wasn't enough - you really need to double and triple-check everything is actually being handled, as communication gaps were frequent. The windows are triple glazed so road noise isn't an issue with them closed, but be aware that in summer when you want the balcony door or windows open, traffic noise from the nearby road is quite noticeable. On the positive side, the Medway views are genuinely lovely and the train connections to London are reliable and fast. The development is noticeably more modern and upscale than the surrounding Chatham area, which creates quite a contrast - worth seeing the wider neighborhood beyond just the development itself before committing.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Blue water is just around the corner, lovely outdoor areas and feel a real sense of community. Even though it’s very new! It’s very quiet and peaceful!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Promptly and even worked out of hours to resolve (ben)

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Maybe some Information on waste disposal or help with this for the first move in.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is fine, close to the the waterfront bus station and 20 minutes walk from the train station. Ideal if you work at the hospital and nice park nearby

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Not efficient, late and not always appropriate reply

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing in particular the visti was good. I wished someone told me I needed a signed contract (I had a letter of employment) that really slowed down things. But apart from that everything was pretty what I expected

Perfect location and within 5 mins of our kids schools and main amenities. Very happy with where it is.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes responsive and friendly always. Had a number of queries that were answered straight away

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

As mentioned the property has lots of big storage space but could have been designed better

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The only negative I can think of is that there is still a lot of building work going on, but it isn’t even loud.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We haven’t had many issues, but if we have needed anything our property manager has sorted it immediately.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We did have a couple of viewings prior to moving, so wasn’t really much

    Manager's response

Thank you so much, Maya, for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We’re delighted to hear how positive your experience has been and that you’re enjoying the design of your new home. It’s especially lovely to read your kind words about Jess and India. They both take great pride in supporting our residents, and it’s wonderful to see their dedication and care recognised. We also appreciate your understanding regarding the ongoing building works and are pleased to hear that it hasn’t impacted your enjoyment of the property. On behalf of everyone at Allsop, thank you for your recommendation. We wish you happiness in your new home and are always here should you need anything in the future.
