My family moved to 1 Orchard Villas, in the quiet village of Farnham Royal back in 1997 when the house was a new build, having had multiple generations live around the Farnham Common area for over 50 years.

With 4 bedrooms upstairs including master with ensuite, there is ample space with a large loft that could be extended to another room, perfect for a bigger household. An additional first floor bathroom and a downstairs WC add everyday convenience, while multiple rooms benefit from built in wardrobes and two separate storage rooms, to create a highly practical living space.

Outdoors, the conservatory or as we like to call it our reading room, leads out onto a large patio area with steps up to well-maintained garden with surrounding flower beds. The back gate takes you through to private parking space also reached from driveway to the side of the house. In front of the drive, you have a sizeable garage that can comfortably fit another car & side shed for additional items. I always wanted a golf simulator in the garage but instead we have tables & chairs.

The neighbours are friends of ours always willing to do anything to help for the many years we have known them, having always been there for my wider family too. There is an independent grocery store just on the corner ideal for everyday essentials or you can find all local amenities a few minutes up the road in Farnham common village with its active & welcoming community. The area is well regarded for its primary & secondary schools, with a wide range of high performing Grammar & comprehensive schools nearby.

Having played in Farnham Park playing fields less than a minute walk away since I was young, I’ve spent a lot of time in the area. Here there are football, rugby, cricket & baseball pitches with South Buckinghamshire Golf Club just next to it, so everything is at your doorstep. I would regularly walk to the golf club in 10 minutes for a quick 9 holes after work with their convenient flexi membership. Surrounded by woodland, Burnham Beeches & Black Park are some great walking spots just a short drive way, alongside multiple country pubs where you can enjoy a good Sunday roast. The Emperor or the Red Lion would be my favourites! By car, there is easy access to M40 & M25. Need to be in London, the bus stop is less than a minute walk away or drive to local stations inside 10 minutes with parking available. Elizabeth line, opened in 2022 gets you direct through central London or Heathrow airport which is very convenient. Quick train can be inside 20 minutes from Slough to Paddington.

With family & friends in Surrey, we have decided it’s the right time to move closer to them as we start the next chapter of our lives. We will be sad to go but hope for someone else to be able to love it as much as we have & make it their own.
