Description

A beautifully renovated end-of-terrace village house with modern interior and garden.

Description

1 New Cottages is a handsome end-of-terrace property dating from the early 19th century, set within this highly sought-after village location. The property further benefits from pedestrian access to the village playing field.

The cottage has undergone an extensive and comprehensive programme of renovation by the current owners, including a full re-wire, new roof, loft conversion and the installation of new windows. A number of original features have been carefully retained, notably the staircase and three Edwardian fireplaces. While charming from its period exterior, the house offers the comfort and convenience of a thoroughly modern interior.

Arranged over three floors, the accommodation is both practical and well balanced. The ground floor comprises two well-proportioned reception rooms, including a sitting room with a log-burning stove and a dining room with a central fireplace that beautifully highlights the home’s character. Bi-fold doors provide direct access to the garden. To the rear is a well-appointed kitchen/breakfast room, also opening onto the garden. The property has been lovingly maintained and recently redecorated throughout.

The first floor provides three well-proportioned bedrooms served by a stylish family bathroom. The second floor is dedicated to an impressive double bedroom with fitted storage and an en suite shower room.

Outside, there is gated access to the side leading to a driveway, terrace and gravelled area, which open onto a delightful garden laid predominantly to lawn, with several seating areas and a covered pond. There is also potential to create a car port or covered parking area, subject to requirements
